Concession stand prices were expensive in my opinion but if you're used to 10-12 bucks for a beer then not a big deal. If you are in the lawn seating you are allowed to bring a beach chair but not a camp chair. You can bring in a bottle of your own water if you want, they will take the tops at the gate entrance, didn't like that but they claim it keeps people from throwing the bottles at the stage.

We had lawn seats and were sitting by about 6:30 or so there was no problem getting in to see the show on time if you don't wait until the last minute. So my wife did have to wait a couple minutes inside because the men's line was running a little slower. They do segregate the men and women before you enter the venue so you can be wanded down and they can check your bags. We stood in line approximately 20 minutes until we were able to get through the main gate. Maybe two minutes to walk from the parking lot to the gate entrance. The concert started at 7 we got there at 6 when the gates opened. Yes the majority of the parking and screening is done by high school / college kids. After all the negative posts I wanted to leave my unbiased opinion of the Hollywood Amphitheater.
